The Discovery Channel has a series running right now called "Planet Earth," and the narrator's voice seems a bit familiar. In fact, it is none other than actress Sigourney Weaver. A classically trained dramatic actress, Sigourney Weaver first got noticed by film audiences as a result of a six second part in Woody Allen's "Annie Hall."

She's probably best known for her portrayal of 'Ripley' in the Alien series, but she's had a slew of other great roles in film and in the theater.
